The blockbuster action-thriller Kannada movie Kantara, became a nation wide hit. The movie which was directed and acted by Kundapurian Rishab Shetty gained huge popularity for his acting, movie story and songs as well. The heroine of the movie Saptami Gowda, who portrayed the role of Leela in the movie also became quiet popular post the movie success. Though she portrayed a no make up non glamorous look, her nose pin gained popularity and became a trend among women.
