Bajirao Masatni is an epic historical movie directed by Sanjay Leela Bansali starring Ranvir Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. The movie which became a hit for his historic storyline and great songs and choreography also had the leading ladies wearing stunning jewellery and costumes to fit in the storyline. The plot of the movie is about heroic Peshwa Bajirao who is married to Kashibai, falls in love with Mastani, a warrior princess in distress. They struggle to make their love triumph amid opposition from his conservative family.
Deepika Padukone’s Jewellery in Bajirao Mastani
Deepika Padukone’s role as Mastani can never be forgotton. The storyline had Deepika to be dressed up as a both Hindi and a Muslim. In the above still from the movie, Deepika is dressed up in traditional Marathi attire. She can be seen adorning the traditional Maharastrian Nath, Jhumkas with ear chains, Maharashtrian Thushi necklace, choker and a hairpin to complete her look as a queen of Maratha kingdom.
Mastani aka Deepika as a Muslim, can be seen wearing the Jhoomar or the Passa jewellery , haath phool, pearl necklace and nose ring with chain.
In yet another few stills from the movie, Deepika can be seen in passa or jhoomar with haath phool and unique two chain pearl earrings. These earrings are big enough to connect two ear points, one ear lobe and other on the upper helix of ear.
Priyanka Chopra’s Jewellery In Bajirao Mastani
Kashibai’s character in the movie was also as prominent as Mastani and even Kashibai can be seen wearing some beautiful traditional pieces of jewellery to match her character.
Just like Deepika, even Priyanka Chopra can be seen in traditional Maharashtrian Jewellery.
Along with Maharashtrian Nath, gold jhumkas, Priyanka Chopra can be seen in traditional Maharashtrian Mangalsutra and long multiline Necklace.
