“OM” is a powerful spiritual symbol that refers to Atman (soul, self within) and Brahman (ultimate reality, entirety of the universe, truth, divine, supreme spirit, cosmic principles, knowledge). The word OM is so much powerful that this single word can produce powerful and positive vibrations which allows you to feel the whole universe. In the Hindu tradition, the sound of om is said to contain the entire universe. It is the first sound from the beginning of time and it also encompasses the present and the future.

In yoga, Om is a mantra, or vibration, that is traditionally chanted at the beginning and end of yoga session.
