Mangalore Dasara is well known festival celebrated in Gokarnanatheshwara temple of Mangalore during Navratri. The 9 day festivitity ends with Vijaydashami where Goddess Sharada is taken out for procession in the city which is decorated with lights all over. The idol of beautiful Sharada Devi is adorned with lots of gold and diamond jewellery with beautiful silk saree and Sonphool hairdo, which is a unique headgear worn by the konkani community in Mangalore.

Goddess Sharada Devi is adorned with lot of jewellery like the matha patti , multiline jhumki with ear chain, nose studs, Kerala choker elakkathali, Mangalore Karimani Mangalsutra, Konkani coral Mangalsutra, lotus pendant long stone studded necklace, long gold hara, Mallige moggu or the Mullamuttu necklace, long gold coins necklace similar to the famous Kolhapuri putali haar, black beads or the karimani bangles, emerald and ruby studded gold bangles, armlet or the vanki , finger ring and more.
The beauty of the Goddess is seen in her sparling eyes! The nose jewellery includes the Bullaku nose pin, mango shaped big nose pin and seven stone diamond nose pin.
The beautiful goddess adorns Vajra Kutka Jodu(Dimaond earrings) and Bugadi earrings as well.
