Dhokra ) is non–ferrous metal casting using the lost-wax casting technique. This sort of metal casting has been used in India for ages. This form of art is practised by the tribals of Bastar in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal. It is a labour-intensive and time consuming process. The figurines are handcrafted in copper and bronze-based alloys using the lost wax technique. This tribal art is embedded in jewellery and used by contemporary women and looks fashionable.
