The necklace is a famous heritage design from South India and finds its origins in areas located near the ancient pearl fisheries in Andhra Pradesh. Guttapusalu is a loopy necklace designed with strings of beads attached in fringes which appear like a shoal of small fish, and hence the name (in Telugu, ‘gutta’ refers to a group of fish and ‘pusalu’ means bead).
Here we have collated short Guttapusalu necklace patterns. These look lovely because of fringes of beads and pearls which gives grand appearnace. This is a favorite choice of South Indian Brides as well. This when combined with long Guttapusalu haar or any other antique design haar, looks magnificient. Have a look!
